Danzig – Deth Red Sabaoth Collection
12″ Red Vinyl
12″ Vinyl Picture Disc
Autographed CD
7″ On a Wicked Night Single
The new Danzig album is pretty damn awesome. It hearkens back to the early days of his solo outing with a more blues-y feel and has some of the best material he’s written in well over a decade. My personal favorite is ‘Black Candy.’
There are quite a few variations on the album floating around out there. Some I’ve picked up and some I haven’t chosen to yet. I haven’t bought the $66.66 Deluxe CD set… and I’m not sure if I will. I also haven’t bought the 12″ Black Vinyl release… though I may if I ever get my hands on a record player again.
I bought what I felt was high priority items. First of all, there was the CD. Newbury Comics was offering up autographed copies of the album. While I don’t spin CD’s all that often anymore, this was one that called my name. Also, I love colored vinyl… especially RED vinyl. That was a no-brainer. I couldn’t pass up the picture disc, either. You don’t see a whole lot of picture discs being pressed anymore so, when they pop up, you’d be a fool not to pick one up. Finally, there’s the 7″ single for On a Wicked Night. It was cheap.
I’ll be seeing Danzig again this Saturday as part of the Blackest of the Black tour and I’m looking most forward to seeing some of this new material played live.
Awesome collection man! I haven’t seen the vinyl version yet in stores and I’m too lazy to order it online. haha.
Check out TheOmegaOrder.com, Bob. You’ll find all of the vinyl there!
